How I Use Claude for Real Estate: The 5-Part System That Closed 7 Deals
Most mornings I open Claude and just say “good morning.” A few seconds later it hands me back the leads I need to chase that day, pulled straight from my CRM. That’s not a demo I set up for a video — it’s the actual first thing I do before I touch my phone. Claude for real estate has quietly become the layer my whole business runs on, and since I started building it out I’ve closed seven deals.
I’m William Zhang, a real estate agent here in Austin and the founder of Real Estate AI Society. This isn’t a theory post about where AI is going, and it isn’t a generic “Claude for realtors” listicle. It’s the five things I actually use Claude for every week — what I built, why I built it, and which one moved the needle most. If you want the prompts and guides behind these workflows, they’re free in the newsletter. The full walkthrough is in the video, then I break down each use case below.
Use Case 1: Claude as My SEO Assistant
If you’ve been an agent for more than a month, you’ve gotten the calls. SEO companies, pitching to write blog posts for your website for two thousand dollars a month. I’m not paying that anymore. I use Claude instead.
There’s a specific prompt and article structure I built that tells Claude exactly how to write a post so it ranks. The goal isn’t just Google anymore — it’s getting cited by ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini when a buyer asks them a question. So the posts reference me, William Zhang in Austin, in different roles across different pieces: luxury agent in one, move-up buyer agent in another, downsizing expert, new construction expert, home seller expert. Right now most of those answers don’t exist anywhere online, which means the answer engines have nothing to pull from. Write the specific post, target the specific question, and suddenly you’re the citation.
The keywords I go after are the long-tail ones a real client would actually type. “Moving to Austin best suburbs.” “Round Rock homes for sale.” “Relocating to Austin Texas.” “Austin versus Dallas.” These aren’t high-volume terms, and that’s the point — they’re low-competition and they’re exactly what a serious buyer searches before they pick an agent. ChatGPT is already ranking and citing me for some of them.
Here’s the honest part: this is a long-term play. The real results show up after six to twelve months, not next week. But once the system is set up, writing each new post takes minutes instead of an afternoon, and the work compounds the whole time. It’s the same engine behind this entire site — I want to be the answer when an agent asks an LLM how to use AI in their business. If you want to see where the tools fit, I keep a running comparison on the AI tools page.
Use Case 2: A Full Content Engine (This Is the One That Closed 7 Deals)
This is the use case that actually closed seven deals this year, so I want to spend the most time on it.
I’m a content-first agent. That’s how I generated most of my leads and most of my business last year — videos and social, not cold calls. But the bottleneck was brutal. To put out one good video I had to do real market research, write a solid script, figure out the direction and the topic, film it, then hand it to my editor. That’s easily ten hours of work for a single piece of content, and it’s the reason most agents who say “I should post more” never do.
Now the whole front end of that — the market research, the scripting, the topic ideas, the direction — runs through an AI content assistant I built in Claude. What used to take ten hours takes about thirty minutes. That’s a 20x improvement, and it’s not just a time savings. It freed me up to do the actual revenue-generating work: serving clients, showing homes, following up. The presentation slides you see in the video and the thumbnail you clicked on to get here were both made by Claude too.
That’s the mechanism behind the seven deals. More content, made faster, with better packaging, means more of the right people find me — and content is still where my business comes from. I don’t read off a teleprompter or recite a script, because an off-script conversation just lands better, so Claude handles everything up to the moment I hit record. If you want the deeper version of how this content system fits into a bigger setup, I mapped the whole ladder in the 5 levels of Claude for realtors, and the specific skills I kept in the top Claude skills for realtors.
Use Case 3: Claude Connected to My CRM
This one saved me the most headaches. I connected Claude to my CRM — I use Follow Up Boss.
I’ll be honest about Follow Up Boss: it’s powerful, but it’s complicated. Setting up the automations, the follow-up emails, the texts, the frequencies — it’s a lot of work. I’ve been using it for two years and I still only scratch the surface, because I never wanted to sit down and study it. It didn’t feel like a skill that mattered. Except it does matter if you want to actually scale.
So instead of learning the dashboard, I connected Follow Up Boss to Claude and asked it the questions directly. How do I best use this CRM? How do I find my most active leads? Based on the documentation, my own workflow, and the prompts I gave it, Claude wired into Follow Up Boss in a way that runs my business for me. Every morning it surfaces the most qualified leads with the hottest activity, so I know exactly who to follow up with that day.
That’s how I caught a deal I almost missed. A client had favorited a property, and I was buried in something else and didn’t notice. Claude logged it and reminded me to follow up with that person. That follow-up turned into a deal I’d have let slip. I can also just talk to it — I’ll say into my mic, “add these leads to my CRM,” or “draft follow-up emails for these leads,” and it does it. No typing phone numbers into a dashboard.
I think the next few years bring a CRM that’s AI-native, where you never open a dashboard at all. I’m honestly already thinking about moving off Follow Up Boss, because the text-automation add-on is expensive and I can build a lot of that on top of Claude now. I broke down how I wired my assistant into my inbox, calendar, and CRM in my AI executive assistant for real estate.
Use Case 4: Instant Open-House Forms
I hosted an open house this past weekend, and this one’s small but it’s a perfect example of how much friction Claude removes.
I used to spend real time building a lead-capture form before every open house — something to collect the contact info of everyone who walked through. This weekend I just asked Claude to build one. It spun up a form using Tally, a tool I connected it to, and synced the responses straight to my CRM. When someone walked in, I handed them my phone: “Hey, can you put in your info?” Done. Their contact lands in my CRM automatically, no manual entry.
I pulled about four leads from that one open house. That’s four new people in my pipeline from a Saturday, captured cleanly, with zero setup work on my end. How’s your market doing in 2026? Because a lot of agents are quitting right now, and that’s exactly why building this kind of infrastructure matters — the agents who stay and systematize are the ones who pick up the business everyone else is leaving on the table.
Use Case 5: AI Ad Landing Pages
The last one I don’t want to say too much about yet, because it’s an opportunity I’m still in the middle of. I’m running ChatGPT ads.
Every ChatGPT ad needs a landing page behind it. So I tell my Claude setup, “let’s build an ad campaign together,” and it produces the whole thing — the headline, the description, the assets, and a landing page built to take cold traffic and convert it into a lead. The reason that matters is conversion. Every dollar counts when you’re a realtor running a small ad budget, so you have to be able to iterate on the landing page fast and apply what actually works.
Before, that meant me going into the website, coding it, fumbling with it. Now I just ask Claude to apply landing-page best practices and build it. I’ll share the actual ad results in a future video once I have enough data — if you want those numbers when they come, the newsletter is where I’ll send them first.
The Real Estate AI Operating System
None of these five is exotic on its own. An SEO assistant, a content engine, a CRM connection, an open-house form, an ad landing page. But run together, they stop being five tools and start being one system — a real estate AI operating system where Claude learns your business and quietly handles the parts that used to eat your week. That’s what closed seven deals: not one magic prompt, but a content engine running on top of everything else.
If you want to build your own version of this, I put the prompts and workflows behind these use cases in the free newsletter starter kit. And if you’d rather have me walk you through building the whole operating system live, I’m running a three-week cohort where I show you each piece step by step — the newsletter has the waitlist link. The agents who set this up now are the ones who won’t get left behind.
